Ambient Swimming Music
Well, I have been training for quite a while to participate in yet another Ultra Swim 33.3 Montenegro race. This means hours of training long-distance swimming each week, and listening to music while I do it, of course. It has been difficult to find exactly the right sort of music for the training sessions. I want something that has a beat, but not too much beat. If the music is two agressive, I feel like I can't stay in control of my breath. If there isn't enough, I sort of trance out and forget that I need to keep myself pacing in order to stay warm enough.
So this summer I decided to make an ambient song that would have some beat and atmosphere, use frequencies that can be heard well under water and yet give me a feeling of peaceful motivation. This song: Afternoon Sun 50, is supposed to keep me paced in an easy zone 2 aerobic place at a pace of 50 strokes per minute.
I think it works pretty well!
